This is overwhelmingly the most popular service. However, you must know which service is required. (It is illegal for a Notary to give legal advice.) So, here are definitions of these two types of signings.
• Acknowledgments: certifying that a signer personally appeared before the Notary, was identified by the Notary and acknowledged signing the document.
• Jurats: certifying that the signer personally appeared before the Notary, was identified by the Notary, signed in the Notary’s presence and took an oath or affirmation from the Notary.
The cost is $15 per signature.
